    In this role, you will serve as the Talent & Culture Department’s employee recognition coordinator and communications specialist reporting directly to the Director of Talent and Culture. You will be responsible for driving employee engagement, creating and sending out communication for HR in English and Spanish, and assist the office with various Human Resource duties to include, but not limited to, training, recruitment, safety, benefits, and HR compliance and policies.

    The ideal candidate will be an outgoing and driven individual with a passion for creating amazing experiences for others, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish, and a demonstrated ability to take initiative and perform tasks with accuracy . Prior Human Resources experience and bilingual in Spanish is required. Country club, hotel or resort experience is a plus.

    JOB DETAILS

    Essential Duties:

    Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all employee recognition programs and events, and integrated communication strategies to build employee morale, productivity, retention, and policy compliance.

    Create, publish and distribute the monthly newsletter, The Mountain Top. Develop articles that recognize employees and keep them informed of upcoming events. Encourage weekly participation with stories and nominations using current programming to include Superior Service Story.

    Communicate key information, initiatives and deadlines to employees in a variety of mediums such as print, digital, eSelfService, email, and text messaging (ZipWhip). Develop creative ways to engage with the employees and communicate this information.

    Organize, coordinate, promote, and lead all aspects of the employee recognition programs and events to include Peak Performer, Carwahes, Thank You Card, New Babies, Wedding Gift, Sympathy, Annual Awards Banquet (Day of the Stars), and other employee appreciation events.

    Perform ongoing surveys to obtain employee feedback then enhance and develop new employee recognition programs and events.

    Facilitate monthly Kudos Crew Committee meeting with a focus on employee programs.

    Assist the Benefits & Employee Relations Manager in coordinating and promoting CPR and Cessation Classes, Blood Drives, Annual Benefits Meeting, and Wellness Programs.

    Work closely with Training and Development manager to promote training programs. Assist with tracking and sending out reminders in the system.

    Facilitate the annual Travel Reduction Program (TRP) Survey.

    Create and manage the Annual Employee Engagement Survey.

    Ensure compliance posters are up to date throughout the property.

    Collaborate with the Director of Talent & Culture in the development, drafting, publication, and distribution of the employee handbook. Coordinate informational meetings, training sessions, and other communication forums to explain and discuss human resource policies.

    Maintain documentation and compliance for company drivers. This includes all employees in a driving position. Obtain documentation upon hire, monitor expiration dates, and run MVR background checks as needed. Serve as the main contact for the insurance company and communicate any updates or changes with the team.

    Translate documents and other materials from English to Spanish.

    Coordinate the employee housing for arrivals and departures. This includes, but is not limited to, purchasing household items, scheduling movers, inspections, and cleaners.

    Assist the Talent & Culture Coordinator with administrative duties in the HR Office to include answering phones and assisting guests.

    Stay abreast of trends, developments, and best practices in employee retention, morale, recognition, productivity, and incentives.

    Other duties as assigned by management.
