Anyone can pick a paint color. You build the moment a client walks into their finished home and goes silent, because it's exactly what they pictured, only better. At Windle Design & Construction, we're a design-build firm that gives talented designers what most firms won't: real ownership over the vision, from the first napkin sketch to the final walkthrough. If you live for that split-second when a space clicks into place, when the layout, the light, and the materials all stop competing and start working together, keep reading! What you'll own: • Creative direction on residential projects, start to finish, you're not handed a brief and shown the door, you're shaping the story • Client relationships built on trust, not just transactions, guiding homeowners through big decisions with confidence they can feel • The handoff between design and construction, making sure your vision survives contact with framing, finishes, and field reality, down to the smallest detail You're who we're looking for if you: • Have a residential portfolio that proves you can turn a blank room into a narrative • Get energized by both the wide-open brief and the brutally specific one • Pair real creative instinct with the organizational chops to keep five decisions moving at once without dropping one • Want to work somewhere quality isn't a buzzword, it's the bar everyone's held to, every time Why Windle: We're not interested in designers who clock in and execute someone else's idea of "tasteful." We want people who treat every project like a portfolio piece, because that's exactly what it is. You'll get long-term client relationships instead of one-and-done jobs, a construction team that respects your vision enough to fight for it on-site, and a firm that's genuinely building a place where the best designers want to stay.
