    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assigns personnel to meet production requirements on the shift.
    • Develops and maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
    • Coordinates with other associates and departments to address any process and equipment problems as well as keeping management informed.
    • Determines workflow in consultation with production control and department manager to ensure maximum equipment efficiency and output while meeting customer needs.
    • Ensures that established policies, rules, and regulations, and procedures are followed.
    • Assists engineering and maintenance personnel with capital project implementation within converting department.
    • Coordinates with other supervisors to ensure all associates are fully utilized in productive positions.
    • Responsible for all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the area and meeting production quality and quantity standards on the shift.
    • Continuously seeks and implements process improvements which result in a more productive and/or safer work environment.
    • Manages timekeeping for shift.
    • Performs necessary corrective actions regarding performance and/or attendance.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

     QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Two-year technical degree or applicable experience.
    • Three to five years experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
    • Experience in building and leading functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft systems; Outlook, Excel, Word.
    • Must be able to work a 12-hr shift as necessary.
