About Novo Collective: We're a LA artist collective of early and mid-career artists producing innovative new formats of art exhibitions, including uncommissioned (uncommissioned.art) and Work in Progress (workinprogress.mx). We also help each other grow professionally through speaking series and critique sessions.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a design Intern to support our lead curator and creative team on various visual projects. This includes helping with web design, branding, presentations, and digital content. This is a hands-on opportunity to sharpen your skills and build a strong design portfolio within the context of an artist-focused, contemporary art collective.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in visual design for presentations, decks, project proposals, and social content
• Help update and maintain our website
• Design simple branded assets like event flyers, mockups, and layout templates
• Work closely with the team to explore new creative directions
• Organize digital files and maintain visual consistency across platforms

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Basic knowledge of web design (or willingness to learn)
• A strong sense of aesthetics and attention to detail
• Portfolio or samples of previous design work
• Interest in art, culture, design, and/or architecture is a plus
