    Introduction

We are looking for an experienced people manager to join our team and lead the art direction, creation, and production of content, as we innovate learning experiences across desktop, mobile, and web platforms. This position will direct project efforts, leading a team to ensure deliverables achieve standards of effectiveness, visual clarity, and refinement.     What you’ll be working on

    • Lead the team across multiple projects, from concepts through production.

    • Shape the visual direction of in-app content experiences, keeping content fresh and innovative while developing a scalable approach and standards to support the team.

    • Guide the team as they translate product functionality into clear, elegant visual stories that are accessible and globally resonant.

    • Build a culture of creativity, experimentation, rigor, and excellence across the team.

    • Work hands-on with new technologies, diving in to and exploring the latest in generative AI.

    • Forge relationships and build trust with partners and collaborators, representing the team and its work and driving alignment and success.

    • Partner closely with UX, product, research, and marketing partners to develop new content experiences and produce content at scale.

    • Work with external agencies, providing direction and ensuring creative outputs are effective, cohesive, and align with guidelines.

    • Hire, develop, and retain outstanding designers; mentor and grow talent.

    What you’ll bring to the team

    • More than 8 years of experience in visual design, including over 2 years leading a design team.

    • A portfolio that demonstrates advanced design craft and the ability to communicate complex ideas visually.

    • Experience defining an evolving visual identity systems and applying them at scale.

    • Skilled at managing multiple projects, timelines, and collaborators.

    • Proven ability to mentor and manage designers, provide critique, and elevate output.

    • A proactive leader with a high standard for detail, clarity, and visual storytelling, capable of driving broad exploration and developing multiple viable directions.

    • A learner’s approach, curious and driven to explore emerging generative AI creative tools, with frequent use of AI like Adobe Firefly in creative work and prompt literacy.

    • Effective when facing pressure, capable of adapting and ensuring everyone stays aligned and progresses as projects rapidly evolve.

    • A confident communicator who can explain design decisions to cross-functional partners and rally teams around a creative vision.

    • Experience recruiting, hiring, and managing talent, including onboarding and maintaining a reliable pipeline.

    • Motivation to design visually compelling work that helps customers understand, navigate, and confidently use creative tools.

    • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative tools, especially Photoshop and Illustrator, plus familiarity with Firefly; comfortable working at the edge of new design tools and workflows.

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $128,100 -- $250,875 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

    In California, the pay range for this position is $173,300 - $250,875 │ In New York, the pay range for this position is $173,300 - $250,875

    At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

    In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
