    ABOUT THIS ROLE

    The VP of Marketing leverages their strategic and leadership experience to help us deliver on our brand promise while achieving our quarterly lead generation and customer acquisition goals. Specifically, this leader has deep expertise in B2B marketing strategy, building and managing teams, optimizing paid advertising budgets, and fostering a data-driven marketing culture.  The VP of Marketing is responsible for leading and achieving our growth and brand identity goals.

    In this role, you will build and manage a team of Marketing Directors and you will work collaboratively with other leaders to ensure our growth strategy is communicated clearly and executed efficiently.

    REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer

    ON A DAILY BASIS, WORKS CLOSELY WITH: VP of Sales, Director of Demand Generation, Director of Brand & Content, Director of Public Relations and Corporate Communications. Interfaces regularly with Finance and CEO to communicate forecasts and any significant changes or results in our quarterly plans.

    LOCATION: Anywhere. Design Pickle is a fully remote company with a Company Hub in Scottsdale, Arizona.

    SPECIFIC TO YOUR ROLE, WE'RE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE...

    • Enthusiasm for our purpose: To be the most helpful creative company in the world.
    • Minimum of 7 years experience leading a successful marketing team in a startup, SaaS, or high-growth environment.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience directly managing or leading teams that execute successful paid advertising campaigns with a monthly ad spend in excess of $200k. 
    • Advanced expertise in Google Analytics, or other modern Business Intelligence platforms.
    • Proven ability to meet and exceed growth goals in a B2B environment. 
    • Proven success as a marketing leader who is able to motivate teams to execute on their quarterly initiatives and achieve excellent results.
    • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
    • Excellent project management skills. Our team works remotely, and everyone is expected and trusted to manage their time effectively.

    OTHER QUALITIES WE ARE LOOKING FOR INCLUDE:

    • Proven results in a high-growth technology or tech-enabled services business is strongly preferred.
    • Experience supporting global marketing initiatives and multilingual campaigns.
    • Solid track record supporting major projects, including product or feature launches, go-to-market strategy, cross-channel campaigns, and marketing technology implementations.

    KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

    As a fast-growing company, our roles are always evolving. However, we want you to know exactly what you're walking into. In the first 90-days, here is a preview of what's expected:

    • Take responsibility for annual marketing plan, strategy and execution
    • Develop and manage annual marketing budget and ensure resources are efficiently allocated
    • Build, manage and lead a high-performing marketing team comprised of Product Marketing Managers, Brand Managers, Digital Strategists, and Developers
    • Develop and lead a demand-generation strategy that drives high-quality leads and direct website conversions
    • Work closely with the VP of Sales to ensure alignment in planning and execution between sales and marketing
    • Vet, onboard and maintain marketing partner and vendor relationships
    • Nurture a data-driven culture amongst the team and ensure all campaign results are measured and analyzed.
    • Own decisions around our marketing technology stack to ensure the team has access to tools that are implemented and functioning optimally
    • Pitch ideas and report on progress to Executive team
    • Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing and communications channels
    • Take a deep dive into our buyer personas and our current demand generation strategy. 
    • Review and assess our existing demand generation campaigns, workflows, landing pages and reports to assess opportunities for improvement.
    • Establish the baseline KPIs and measurables for success.
    • Develop a near-term demand generation strategy for driving early improvements and take the driver seat in leading, executing and measuring success.
    • Work with our People team to develop and execute a hiring plan to ensure we have the right talent to support the success of your plan.
