ABOUT THIS ROLE Hello prospective pickle! The Design Pickle team is growing, and our Marketing team is currently seeking a tenacious and smart-working CONTENT MARKETING STRATEGIST to join our team! The ideal candidate has at least 3+ years of experience applying their copywriting and content marketing expertise to strategically plan, create and optimize content marketing campaigns for performance in lead generation and SEO.

REPORTS TO: Director of Brand & Content ON A DAILY BASIS, WORKS CLOSELY WITH: Brand and Content team members; Director of Marketing and Director of Sales. • ENTHUSIASM for our mission: To be the most helpful creative company in the world.
• Bachelor's degree in MARKETING, COMMUNICATIONS, JOURNALISM or related field.
• Minimum of 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE planning, creating and managing content marketing campaigns.
• Demonstrated ability to CREATE ENGAGING CONTENT MARKETING CAMPAIGNS that generate leads, and engagement metrics. We will ask to see examples of your work.
• Proven experience in writing HEADLINES AND COPY THAT CONVERTS, strong COPYWRITING AND COPY EDITING SKILLS.
• A passion for CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT and generating breakthrough ideas
• Good PROJECT MANAGEMENT and COMMUNICATION SKILLS - the majority of our team works remotely and we need to know you can manage your time effectively.

• Familiarity with ACTIVECAMPAIGN or similar email marketing automation software.
• Familiarity with COSCHEDULE or a similar content marketing management tool.
• Familiarity with publishing website and blog content on WORDPRESS.
• HTML KNOWLEDGE to help customize email templates.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  As a fast-growing company, our roles are always evolving. However, we want you to know exactly what you're walking into. In the first 90-days, here is a preview of what's expected:

• Gain a thorough understanding of Design Pickle products and target customer personas.
• Review existing website, blog and social media profiles and develop recommendations for optimizing performance.
• Plan and manage our CoSchedule content calendar.
• Collaborate with the brand and content team to conceptualize and generate new topic ideas for connecting with our customers and prospects in new and meaningful ways.
• Develop tactics for growing our blog and email subscriber base.
• Ensure that our content strategy is goal-oriented (lead generation, SEO and engagement) and measurable.
• Coordinate with the design team to add engaging creative elements to all of our content.
• Create, manage and improve upon our weekly newsletters and promotional email campaign content.
• Follow industry-related news to generate ideas that are relevant, timely and to keep a pulse on trending topics.
• Review and edit content as needed to ensure appropriate brand voice is used and editorial guidelines are followed.
• Analyze and report on content marketing successes and opportunities for improvement.
