    Job Description

    The ****Audio/Media Designer, Audio/Video Creative Development, **** is responsible for conceiving, defining, and developing the audio and/or media design of assigned Entertainment projects of various scale, including the World-Famous Studio Tour, Halloween Horror Nights, Fan Fest Nights, marquee events, park theatrical entertainment, historical archives, presentations and special projects.

    • Working with the Creative Director of Audio/Media Design and the Creative team, develop concepts and samples to communicate preliminary design ideas.
    • Create audio design elements based on project needs and creative intent. Manipulates audio files and develops original content to satisfy conceptual design.
    • Present designs to project team and Senior Management to communicate vision and implementation of elements.
    • As required, perform audio recording and editing, applying post-production effects and layers to develop final product.
    • Assist with the development of system design based on project specifications, working with technical team on implementation and installation.
    • Continually perform quality checks for ongoing creative maintenance of elements.
    • Maintain show content changes and programming.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Theatrical Production or minimum 5 years in a related field, with emphasis in audio/media production.
    • Extensive themed entertainment experience in technical audio and video production for live theatrical entertainment.
    • Extensive knowledge in Yamaha and QSC digital mixers (LS9, QL5, Touchmix), including ability to program, route, network, troubleshoot, mix, and playback.
    • Knowledge in audio networking such as QLan and Dante.
    • Strong proficiencies on the following audio development software programs: Avid ProTools (HD/Ultimate), Logic Pro X, Reaper, and QLab (v5).
    • Working knowledge of various graphic and video software programs: Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc
    • Solid background in managing projects from concept to completion.
    • Solid understanding of production of live entertainment in a theme park environment.
    • Working knowledge of Apple computers.
    • Solid understanding of QSC systems and QSys programming.
    • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, with confidence to multi-task and delegate as required.
    • Ability to drive results of teams through strong leadership and development skills.
    • Ability to identify and communicate creative solutions to challenges, and to maintain a consistent focus on priorities with persistent follow-through.
    • Confidence to communicate across all lines of business, with all levels of management.
    • Ability to deal well with ambiguity and constant change, working in fast-paced environments with accelerated production schedules.
    • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays and nights as required.
    • A strong passion to drive high quality results, both end product as well as process.

    General Knowledge and Skills Required: Entertainment Assistant Audio/Media Designer shall have the ability to read, interpret and follow documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Be able to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Will also be able to effectively communicate, present information, and answer questions in one-on-one and group settings. Have strong interpersonal, analytical and time management skills and demonstrates the ability to work independently under pressure; proactive thinker/self-starter.
