    GENERAL SUMMARY:

    Provide mechanical systems BIM HVAC/PIPING /Fire protection or Electrical Systems design for a new construction and/or renovation of industrial facilities as requested by the client. The BIM Designer will develop construction drawings and specifications, which address the installation, integration, interconnection and control of components within the standard building codes

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Review and/or establish project scope, necessary constraints and design approach with Project Manager, Engineering Team, and Clients

    With assistance, perform calculations and energy models; formulate design and layout of mechanical systems including HVAC, Piping, Plumbing, and fire protection or Electrical Systems

    Create engineering documents using computer aided design (CAD) technology, utilizing Autodesk (Revit and AutoCAD) or manually with support from more junior staff

    Conduct field measurements and checks at the construction site

    Maintain working knowledge of the latest building codes and standards used in the industry

    Maintain organized project files containing project calculations, drawings, and engineering data

    With assistance, select and source equipment

    Coordinate projects with other disciplines

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, highly desired

    5+ years of related experience in BIM Systems in the mechanical or Electrical engineering field (HVAC/building systems/Electrical)

    Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD, Trane Trace 700 or other building energy calculation software, and Bluebeam

    Knowledge in BIM 360

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Ability to work on-site at Various Clients' Facilities, Multiple locations are available in MI (Sterling Heights, MI or Dearborn, MI) or Other States

    Must be able to travel when required

    Long-term assignments, OT is available
