Summary
Produces and details routine drawings/layouts of basic components, facilities and/or systems. Generates and/or modifies two-dimensional drawings based on information from others. Develops basic computer-aided design (CAD) drawings and design models under the direction of a senior designer.

Education
Position typically requires a high school diploma and a minimum one-to-two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

1. Software knowledge requirements? Drafting tools, specifically CAD, also looking to move in BIM direction which would be desired if they have this (Building Integrated Model)

Short term travel is covered but not full per diem or relocation.

1. Is position remote or on-site? Yes – 100% onsite

?? – type of exp mechanical? Electrical? – bulk of work is mechanical, there is some electrical and fire suppression

?? – what does the team look like? – initially they will be mentored and will shadow until they get up to speed, currently have 3 teams so trying to fill 3rd team

?? – preference on level 1 v. 2 since you are looking for either/or? – prefer more experience but know these folks are hard to come by which is why opened both

?? – what is BIM? – modeling tool software, Building Integrated Software, goes more in detail with 3D modeling, would eventually like to start a fully blown BIM team so they could transition to that if it was approved

Design reviews preconstruction, make sure designs are ready to execute, these hires will take the native files and do material takeoffs, help procurement order correct material; 2 phase review cycle – initial and final, supply craft execution with shop drawings (set drawings with dimensions to use as guides) so they can better order equipment and install
