Designer III – CAD Drafting
Location: Elk City, Oklahoma

Drawbridge Recruiting is recruiting for a Designer III – CAD Drafting for an oil and gas equipment company in Elk City, Oklahoma. This person will join the Engineering team and develop detailed 3D CAD models, 2D fabrication drawings, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for oil and gas surface production equipment.

The right candidate has strong technical drafting skills, hands-on experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and Plant P&ID, and a solid grasp of equipment fabrication and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex 3D models and detailed 2D fabrication drawings for vessels, separators, heater treaters, piping assemblies, pipe racks, and equipment skids
• Create and update P&IDs, including equipment tags, instrumentation, and piping details
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and compliance with project specifications
• Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and maintain CAD documentation
• Work with engineers, fabrication teams, and project stakeholders to resolve design and manufacturing challenges
• Support cost-effective design improvements and fabrication efficiency
• Use COMPRESS software for vessel design calculations

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of AutoCAD 3D experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D and Plant P&ID (required)
• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
• Experience designing oil and gas surface production equipment (preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Travel: Up to 10%
• Classification: Non-Exempt

This is a technical drafting and design position, not an engineering position.
