ROLE OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Indus Insights is looking for entry level and experienced data science professionals to drive consulting projects for clients. This is a phenomenal opportunity to work on some of the most exciting problems in fintech, banking & other industries, while using Analytics & Big Data. These roles offer great exposure to top tier clients across the globe, including in the US, Australia, and India. Associate level is the perfect first career role for recent college grads. Senior Associate level is for 2+ years experience.

Specific ROLE REQUIREMENTS will include the following:

1. DRIVE ANALYTICS PROJECTS FOR OUR CLIENTS

• Work with your manager to give analytical structure to seemingly vague business problems 
• Develop problem-solving approach; Participate in brainstorming sessions with the team 
• Manipulate datasets from a variety of sources; Merge datasets, perform data hygiene, and create analysis/ modelling conducive datasets; Be the subject-matter-expert on client data and trends 
• Use regression and machine learning techniques to create predictive algorithms; Evaluate performance of algorithms, validate these, and perform statistical tests 
• Develop economic valuation models, perform validation, and design business strategies using such models 
• Develop business recommendations using predictive/ econometric models, perform impact sizing, stress testing, and create business case and presentations to be shared with CXOs

2. CLIENT AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT

• Work with client maps to understand business context and data trends; Partner with them to address data issues and ensure consistency between data trends and actual business performance
• Present findings, updates, and recommendations to clients on periodic basis
• Ensure smooth delivery of the project, provide periodic updates to Indus leadership & to clients, highlight roadblocks, etc.

3. OTHER ACTIVITIES

• Be involved in hiring activities of Indus

• Lead internal work-streams such as internal R&D projects, business development assistance, lead new joining training sessions, etc.
