    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    PRIMARY FUNCTION

    This position is responsible for the development and execution of educational and clinical projects for Desin, LLC makers of Obi Robot. This Clinical Educator role allows you to use your clinician background and skills in an entrepreneurial way to help spread awareness and educate others about our revolutionary eating assistive technology.

    This role is available for Full Time, Part-Time or Contract basis depending on individual’s experience and background.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • RELATIONSHIPS & DEVELOPMENT: Must have extensive relationships with rehab facilities and institutions around the country and an understanding of roles within the organizations and how to make contact with clinicians. Will use network to educate clinicians on independent feeding with Obi- includes emails, phone calls, in-services, virtual demos, etc. This role will also develop new relationships with new facilities, OTs and organizations related to Veterans Administration, spinal injury, motor-neuron disease and other diseases/ conditions to provide education on independent feeding and Obi.

    • ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY: Does new assistive technology make you geek out? We are looking for someone who gets a thrill from learning about new technology and who will share that enthusiasm with others. This individual will know the features, functions and benefits of our product like the back of their hand!

    • CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE: Develop, secure approval and teach CEU course about independent eating. Must have experience developing or teaching a CEU course.

    • STUDENT EDUCATION: We are passionate about spreading awareness of our life changing technology to future clinicians. This role will be responsible for developing an outreach and education program for students and schools to educate and excite future clinicians about independent eating solutions. This will include reaching out to professors at universities and educating students through in-person presentations or virtual presentations.

    • CLINICAL EXPERTISE: Develop relevant topics associated with independent eating to write white papers and possibly lead clinical study development.

    • OBI TEAM SUPPORT: Support Obi Robot team with clinical expertise on marketing, development, etc. You will have a chance to have direct impact on strategy, messaging, business development and future plans for the company. We’re looking for a creative entrepreneur mind that wants to dive in!

    • END USER SUPPORT: Opportunity to work directly with end users and families to educate and advise on independent eating solutions.

    • PUBLIC SPEAKING: Do you get a thrill from presenting to a captive audience and getting people excited and engaged in your topic? We’re looking for a high energy individual who loves speaking to an audience and is able to make presentations informational, exciting and fun. This role will be leading many presentations including: CEU presentations, virtual demos, educating clinicians, students and end users via in-person presentations & virtual presentations.

    REQUIREMENTS

    ● Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist or other related clinical field. Must understand Obi’s user profile and the benefits of independence.

    ● Must have bachelors degree and graduate degree in Occupational Therapy or related clinical field.

    ● Experience developing and teaching Continuing Education courses (CEUs).

    ● Comfortable presenting in front of large groups, in-person and virtually.

    ● Outgoing and enthusiastic personality- you love talking to others!

    ● Existing relationships within vast network of Rehab Facilities in the U.S.

    ● Self-starter with the ability to plan and organize their own work.

    ● Entrepreneurial, disciplined spirit with the ability to set goals and tenaciously go after them.

    ● Ability to thrive in a team environment and will contribute to the direction and advancement of a rapidly changing startup company.

    ● Ability to work cooperatively with others.

    ● Thoughtful – constantly thinking of ways to improve what we do.

    ● A strong desire to make a difference in the lives of Obi users.

    ● Some travel may be necessary.

    ● Comfortable with Gmail, Outlook, Microsoft Programs, CRM systems and reporting.
