Responsibilities: • Evaluate first-party property claims remotely using digital documentation from independent adjusters and other sources. • Review policies, claim forms, and loss details to determine coverage and calculate accurate settlements. • Document findings, estimate repair costs, and maintain thorough records throughout the claims process. • Communicate professionally with policyholders, agents, and stakeholders via phone and email, addressing inquiries and guiding them through the claims process. • Negotiate fair settlements with policyholders, contractors, and third parties, clearly explaining coverage and deductibles. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate claim assessments and policy compliance. • Stay current on property insurance laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure procedural compliance. • Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Minimum of three years of experience as a Property Adjuster , in either a desk- or field-based role. • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as insurance, risk management, or construction, or equivalent work experience, may be considered. • Familiarity with property insurance policies, claim investigation techniques, and industry-standard software for documenting and estimating. • Solid understanding of construction principles, building materials, and the ability to read and write estimates using Xactimate. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately assess property damage, evaluate coverage, and negotiate effective settlements. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with policyholders, claimants, and internal stakeholders. Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner. • Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing a positive experience to policyholders throughout the claims process. Ability to handle challenging conversations and demonstrate empathy when dealing with individuals who have experienced property damage. • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple claims simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation. Preferred Qualifications: • Proficient in Xactimate and XactAnalysis. • Experience reviewing independent adjuster reports. • Experience with multi-line claims adjusting. • Familiarity in handling recovery processes, including subrogation, contribution, and salvage. Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 yearly
