    Job Description

    DesktopShipper is currently looking for a full-time Technical Support/Customer Service Representative to provide phone, email and chat support to our clients to assist them in using our shipping software. This is a remote position and potential candidates must be based in the United States. We are looking for a professional, positive, and detail-oriented individual who can effectively resolve and/or escalate client issues while maintaining a high level of customer service.

    • Provide professional phone, email and chat support to end-users of our software
    • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve client issues
    • Thoroughly document every client service interaction and task in a technical support ticketing system.
    • Escalate trouble tickets through internal channels as necessary
    • Provide excellent customer service while working with a client base of varying degrees of computer knowledge and skill level
    • Communicate effectively with sales staff and management regarding client issues
    • Manage and deliver on multiple support tickets at the same time

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2 + years Customer Service/Technical Support experience
    • Proficiency with computers a must, including Microsoft Office products
    • Some IT knowledge combined with a willingness and capability to learn
    • Exceptional organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
    • High level of professionalism and confidence when working with clients over the phone and in a remote environment
    • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively
    • Ability to work independently as well as within a team
    • Natural problem-solving ability combined with a passion for outstanding customer service
    • Hardware troubleshooting experience is a plus
    • Ability to type at least 35-50 WPM

    PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

    • C# and .NET experience
    • SQL and relational database concepts
    • Web Services/XML/SOAP

    OTHER HELPFUL EXPERIENCE

    • Inventory, Packing, shipping, and receiving experience
