Job Summary

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team at Detritus LLC. In this role, you will manage the company’s provider cards and ensure all invoices are paid in a timely manner. Responsibilities will include receiving and preparing accounts payable invoices, handling expense reports, and assisting with internal audits. The ideal candidate is extremely detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, computer savvy, and has a strong understanding of accounting, payments, and budgets. As a fast growing company, we are looking for a candidate that is interested in growing their career with the business for years to come.

This position is 100% onsite in Savannah, GA.

Responsibilities

Prepare, load and record credit cards

Maintaining accurate general ledger journal entries

Manage the Accounts Payable Dashboard on Salesforce which includes several Accounting reports

Preparing accounts payable invoices

Making payments promptly

Preparing sales and use tax returns

Providing support for audits

Collaborating with other departments to handle account issues

Preparing expense reports

Assist with the Accounts Receivable team as required

Other accounting duties as required

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may substitute education.

Minimum 1-2 years related Accounts Payable experience

Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software

Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices

Excellent problem-solving and research skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
