    Overview

    Looking for politically motivated students who are seeking a part-time opportunity to work on the 2024 election. This position reports to a lead organizer and is based on one of 20 campuses across Michigan. We are looking for college students at our 20 key campuses to help organize with us to activate young voters and provide them with opportunities to get educated and get mobilized.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Fellows will work on one of our key campuses across the state of Michigan with a campus organizer to build a program and organization that engages students and prepares them for key 2024 races. This is an active position that will require canvassing, events, and talking to students about 15-20 hours per week.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Assist in building relationships on your assigned campus and maintain relationships with other student organizations
    • Be responsible for canvassing on campus, as well as manning tables, planning and executing events, chapter meetings, etc.
    • Collect pledge to vote cards and voter registration and enter data into our management system.
    • Execute the campus plan for that campus with the lead organizer
    • Attend training as necessary

    All other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    As a successful candidate for this job, you will:

    • Have a passion for inspiring and empowering young people to get involved in the political process.
    • Be eager to talk to as many students as possible (and be comfortable talking to a lot of strangers/potential volunteers).
    • Be scrappy and flexible; able to manage several tasks simultaneously.
    • Be a current student at a Michigan college or university

    • Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time talking with students in a variety of different weather and temperatures.
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position while driving or riding as a passenger in a motor vehicle because extensive statewide travel is necessary.

    Some weekends and some travel required.

    Job Details: The compensation for this role is $1,000 a month, paid on the first of the month
