    Job Description

    The Tester will support the PBGC Financial Management Technology Services (FMTS) program by planning, executing, and documenting testing activities across Financial Management Systems (FMS). This role ensures that new releases, patches, and enhancements meet functional and non-functional requirements, comply with PBGC standards, and maintain system stability. The Tester will work closely with developers, business analysts, and system stakeholders to validate solutions and support defect resolution throughout the release cycle.

    • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test scripts, and test cases for unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
    • Validate requirements and acceptance criteria in collaboration with business stakeholders and Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).
    • Conduct regression testing for infrastructure and integration changes to ensure continued system compatibility.
    • Perform automated and manual testing using client-approved tools (e.g., Azure Test Plans, Selenium, TestComplete).
    • Document and track defects in Azure DevOps Boards, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
    • Support end-to-end performance and load testing exercises, preparing reports on system performance against thresholds.
    • Ensure testing complies with client's Information Technology Solutions Life Cycle Management (ITSLCM) and audit requirements.
    • Provide test results, defect status, and readiness assessments for release Go/No-Go decisions.
    • Collaborate with developers and technical leads to troubleshoot issues and validate fixes.
    • Contribute to quality assurance by reviewing documentation and ensuring test evidence is properly stored for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in software testing, QA, or related IT roles.
    • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium or TestComplete.
    • Proficiency with Azure DevOps Test Plans or similar test management tools.
    • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
    • Experience conducting system integration and regression testing in multi-system environments.
    • Familiarity with federal IT compliance standards and Section 508 accessibility testing is a plus.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical teams and report test outcomes to stakeholders.
