    DevOps Engineer

    Overview:

    StaffBuffalo is working with a growing, technology-driven law firm in the Buffalo area to hire a DevOps Engineer, offering $80,000–$110,000 annually. This is a unique opportunity to work directly alongside technical leadership, helping build and scale infrastructure that supports data-driven and AI-focused initiatives across the organization.

    In this role, you will act as a key contributor and right-hand to the AI Development Lead, working across multiple active projects in a fast-moving, production-driven environment. You will help design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes, while improving collaboration between technical teams and end users.

    Responsibilities:

    • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
    • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
    • Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes
    • Support cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud environments
    • Collaborate with technical leadership to execute across multiple concurrent projects
    • Coordinate and support sprint planning, including defining priorities and deliverables
    • Participate in daily stand-ups and ongoing collaboration with developers and internal stakeholders
    • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to improve system performance
    • Support DevSecOps practices, system reliability, and incident response efforts

    Qualifications:

    • 3–7 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles
    • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
    • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline automation
    • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
    • Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages
    • Working knowledge of SQL (or willingness to learn quickly)
    • Strong understanding of infrastructure automation and system design principles
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, less structured environment
    • Open to coaching, feedback, and contributing ideas to improve systems and processes
