As a Barclays Developer, you will be using your experience as a high calibre developer with good functional and technical engineering skills/ product knowledge to work with business stakeholders and key suppliers to deliver change to agreed time, quality and cost parameters. You will also have an opportunity to be managing the impact assessment of proposed changes in the integrated technology environment, in particular understanding the impact of proposed changes on all upstream and downstream systems

What will you be doing?

• Ensuring all change is designed and implemented using best practice and driving DevOps and Test Automation
• Ensuring all engineering reviews are completed and the introduction of change into the Production environment follows agreed governance processes
• Managing the impact assessment of proposed changes in the integrated technology environment, in particular understanding the impact of proposed changes
• Delivering of all agreed change to time, quality and cost parameters
• Helping the Application Management function with problem records and high severity incidents
• Working with the overall Product Engineer to define the technology roadmap and improvements

What we’re looking for:

• Good hands on experience on J2EE and related technologies like Core Java, Spring, Spring boot, Apache Camel
• Wide knowledge of Micro Services Architecture
• Should have understanding of Junit and TDD
• Hands on experience required on No-SQL databases, preferably MongoDB

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Awareness of Docker, Kubernetes
• Well versed with best practices followed in DevOps
• Should be aware of latest toolset used in standard CICD pipeline like Jenkins, Nexus, Bitbucket, SonarQube
• Understanding of technical document creation such as design and impact assessments
