Position Overview:

As a Development Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the development department by processing donations, assisting with donor outreach, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the coordination of special events. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in an organized, fast-paced environment and is eager to make a lasting impact through philanthropy.

What You'll Do:

1. Manage Donor Gifts : Accurately process and enter gifts into the eTapestry database, ensuring timely and precise record-keeping for donations, pledges, and other contributions.
2. Provide Administrative Support : Assist with the daily operations of the development team, including maintaining donor records, preparing deposits, and providing general administrative support.
3. Coordinate Special Events : Help plan and execute fundraising events, manage sponsorships, assist with event registration, and ensure smooth operations from setup to cleanup.
4. Support Program Reporting : Collect, enter, and scrub program data for grant reports, ensuring all necessary data is accurately recorded in the ETO database.
5. Engage with Donors : Personalize donor experiences by conducting research, maintaining communication, and sending thank-you notes and emails.
6. Be a Team Player : Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals, maintaining a supportive and professional environment.

What You Bring to the Table:

✔ Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.

✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with eTapestry and ETO is a plus.

✔ Strong data entry skills and the ability to manage donor and program data accurately.

✔ A critical thinker with the ability to problem-solve and adapt as needed.

✔ A passion for philanthropy and making a difference in your community.

✔ Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

What You Need to Apply:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Indiana Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and maintain a drug-free workplace.

This part-time position offers a maximum of 29 hours per week and may require occasional evenings and weekends for special events and programming.
