What you will do…
Strategic Planning & Collaboration
Partner with the Director of Development to create and carry out fundraising strategies that fuel growth and long-term sustainability.
Monitor fundraising progress and grant deliverables to ensure team accountability and alignment with annual goals.
Grants Management
Keep our grants calendar/expenditure tracker detailed and up to date.
Work with teams across KIPP—Finance, Ops, Communications, Academics, and Schools—to align on messaging, budgets, and big-picture goals.
Facilitate clear and timely internal communication to ensure all teams understand grant requirements, timelines, and their roles in meeting funding and reporting obligations.
Research and support in the writing and timely submission of compelling grant proposals and reports.
Donor Relations & Stewardship
Manage the creation and submission of key donor touchpoints.
Prep materials and briefings for tours, meetings, and events.
Write heartfelt thank-you notes and responses to donor inquiries.
Volunteer & Community Engagement
Coordinate meaningful volunteer opportunities with schools and partners.
Help create strategies that turn volunteers into lifelong supporters.
Special Events
Coordinate with the Communications team to create eye-catching event marketing and social media.
Support in the management of event logistics while tracking participation in both DonorPerfect and OneCause.
Ensure in-kind donations and auction items are solicited, tracked, and showcased to strategically support event goals and maximize fundraising impact.
Data & Systems Management
Keep our donor databases (DonorPerfect and OneCause) up to date.
Maintain detailed development records—both digital and hard copy.
Additional duties within reason may be assigned; such duties must be considered as beneficial and impactful to the mission of the organization.
Qualifications
_ What you bring to the table:_
Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include nonprofit management, social work, communications, business, or hospitality
1–3 years of experience in grants management, fundraising, and/or special events
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, people-centered approach to working across teams and departments
Proficiency with donor management systems such as Salesforce, DonorPerfect, or similar CRMs
Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and follow through with minimal supervision
Skilled in using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, organization, and communication
Experience creating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintaining organized workflows
Familiarity with digital design tools such as Canva, Adobe InDesign, or similar platforms to create donor materials and internal reports (preferred)
Ability to synthesize data and stories into compelling visuals and narratives to engage stakeholders
Experience coordinating or supporting large-scale events such as fundraisers, community outreach, or volunteer initiatives
Regional and office support staff must have the ability to...
Operate a computer and standard office equipment on a daily basis
Occasionally lift, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 pounds
Move frequently throughout office and school environments to access equipment, attend meetings, or gather data/materials
Maintain composure and emotional resilience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Interpret and apply organizational policies, procedures, and data with accuracy
Additional Information
What we bring to the table: Salary range starts at $$55,000 final salary will be commensurate with experience and education.
