Scope of Work for Data Analyst Development Intelligence Group and its partners are seeking a Data Analyst for a discrete project to support the team conducting the 2021 Humentum Business Development Benchmarking Survey. The survey focuses on collecting and analyzing data from international development organizations about performance across different types of donors, award types, and time periods. The Team's analysis will provide executives and business development professionals with insights about critical outcome benchmarks such as relevant win rates. The survey is approximately 78 questions and between 50-70 organizations are likely to respond. After the survey is closed, the Data Analyst will support the team through the full data analytics process: cleaning, analysis, and visualization. The Analyst is expected to perform basic descriptive statistical analyses and may recommend to the team that they carry out correlational analyses, linear/logistic/multiple regression, content analysis, and analysis of variance (ANOVA) depending on questions of interest and variable types. Experience with predictive analytics a plus. The analyst will have demonstrated experience working with survey data that includes numerical, categorical, Likert scale type, continuous, and string/text variable types and with data visualization to communicate insights and story. The Analyst will contribute to graphics and other visualization of data for the survey report and presentation to be provided to respondents. Because the Analyst will work interactively with the team, all content must be available for other team members to use in Excel. This is a short-term assignment of up to 60 hours of effort, starting approximately mid-November until the end of December 2021. Applicants are expected to work remotely and have access to their own equipment. Final candidates will be asked to provide references and will have access to the survey to refine their proposal into a work plan.
