Donor Relations & Stewardship: Act as an ambassador for Allegro. Build, nurture, and sustain genuine, long-term relationships with individual donors, major givers, and corporate sponsors through authentic, professional communication.

High-Level Event Collaboration: Work side-by-side with Allegro’s Executive Director to maximize fundraising revenue for our signature annual events, including the Ambassador’s Ball and our Golf Invitational, securing corporate sponsorships.

Grant Writing: Assist the Executive Director with researching, drafting, and submitting grant proposals to corporate, private, and government foundations.

    What We Are Looking For

A True Charlotte Native or Connected Leader: You have deep, verifiable roots, ties, and connections within the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area. You know the local philanthropic landscape, corporate decision-makers, and community leaders on a first-name basis.

Passion & Emotional Investment: You are deeply moved by our mission. You possess the emotional intelligence to connect with families, the tenacity to advocate for children with disabilities, and the passion required to inspire others to give generously.

Proven Fundraising Track Record: You have 3–5 years of professional non-profit development experience, with successful grant writing and major donor cultivation.

Communication & Etiquette: You possess elite written and verbal communication skills. You can transition seamlessly from drafting high-level corporate correspondence to speaking passionately in front of a room of corporate CEOs and board members

Organizational Mastery: You are a self-starter who thrives in a structured environment. You can manage multiple grant deadlines, donor touchpoints, and event logistics without letting any details slip through the cracks.
