    Job Summary: The Development and Marketing Assistant will provide essential administrative support to the Development and Marketing team, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, social media presence, and event success. This role involves organizing documents, conducting deliveries and pick-ups of event materials, assisting with social media outlines and posts, and managing the distribution of educational materials from the warehouse.

    This is a full time, in-person, 12-month hourly position and reports directly to the Director of Development and Marketing.

    Responsibilities

    Maintain organized records of educational resources inventory within warehouse and ensure numbers reflect properly on Brush and McMillen Websites

    Manage pick-lists in warehouse for sales and programming of educational resources with Director check-off before shipping

    Manage shipping of products and deliveries

    Manage ISBNs for each product available physically and online

    Aid in planning special events annually with the Director of Development & Marketing and Marketing & Events Manager by identifying, assembling, and organizing event material as well as event communication

    Continually seek and research new school contact information for Feathr

    Assist with email marketing within Feathr, including drafting emails

    Assist with website updates, including McMillen and Brush

    Assist with donor management software such as inputting data and organizing profiles

    Assist with donor and sponsor thank you letters by addressing and mailing them with 100% accuracy

    Assist with phone calls to fulfill programming grants

    Assist in scheduling and planning social media posts

    Assist with organizing and tracking marketing materials

    Assist in the development and formatting of event design materials, Healthy Tomorrow or Brush marketing presentations, and promotional materials, adhering to brand guidelines

    Assist with uploading back-end information on Healthy Tomorrow app

    Assist the Sales & Outreach Coordinator with Educational Resource sales forms and discount codes when needed

    Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.

    Maintain confidentiality at all times

    Prioritize and complete multiple responsibilities simultaneously while managing time effectively

    Qualifications:

    Associates degree or certification in marketing, communications, or related field

    Presentation skills

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Proven ability to meet deadlines

    Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing

    Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

    Highly organized, with the ability to track and monitor multiple projects

    Ability to organize, prioritize and manage workload, advising supervisor of significant issues

    Ability to exercise judgment and discretion and maintain confidentiality

    Ability to systematically research growth opportunities.

    Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

    Physical Demands:

    Physical demands include walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and moderate lifting. Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods of time. Ability to perform the repetitive motion of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Specific vision abilities include the capability of viewing computer monitor for long periods of time. Strength requirements include the ability to lift and move heavy items, such as boxes containing books and other materials (up to 30 lbs.). Requires hearing within the normal range for telephone use.
