    Job Title: Device Quality Control Representative

    Employment Status: Full Time

    Classification: Non-Exempt

    Work Schedule: 2nd Shift; Monday-Friday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm

    Reports to: Quality Control Supervisor

    Supervisory Responsibilities: None

    Pay: $20.50/hour with $0.50/hour shift differential

    Location: Onsite Waupaca WI

    Position Summary: The Device Quality Control Representative is responsible for performing first-piece inspections on device production and incoming inspection on raw materials to verify compliance with specifications. Additionally, the Device Quality Control representative performs in-process audits throughout the shift and supports the Non-Conforming Material Review (NCMR) process when nonconforming material is identified.

    Essential Functions:

    • Performs quality control tests and inspections on device production including first-piece Inspection. Perform incoming inspection on raw materials per specification and record/report results accordingly.

    • Conducts in-progress audits throughout the shift to verify compliance with internal procedures and customer specifications.

    • Provides NCMR support when an issue resulting in nonconforming materials is identified. NCMR support includes proper identification, sorting, and assistance with root cause investigation in addition to action plan determination while working with Product Quality and/or Supplier Quality.

    • Processes device Production Work Orders (WO) and other required paperwork necessary for shipment.

    • Uses basic equipment used to perform inspections including but not limited to calipers and jigs.

    Other Duties

    • Assists with expediting the shipping process.

    • Processes production WO paperwork and associated documentation that is necessary for shipment as needed.

    • Cross-trains in the QC Lab as determined necessary by QC Supervisor.

    • Performs other Device Quality Control Representative duties as assigned.

    Experience and Education Requirements

    • Highschool Diploma/GED required.

    • Basic math and computer skills.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's) Required

    • Knowledge of basic business math.

    • Knowledge of analytical and quality control test methods.

    • Knowledge of laboratory equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

    • Knowledge of general production processes.

    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Strong laboratory testing skills.

    • Skilled in the use of basic measuring instruments.

    • Excellent communication and people skills.

    • Ability to self-motivate and work without direct supervision.

    • Ability to multi-task and work in an organized manner.

    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

    • Strong ability to follow safe work practices.

    • Ability to work as part of a team.

    • Ability to use Microsoft Office, other computer programs, and technology.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; lift/carry/push/pull under 10 pounds; use hands repetitively for writing, keyboarding, and grasping/holding. The employee is occasionally required to lift/carry/push/pull up to 20 pounds; twist/turn; reach outward and over shoulders, and bend and squat.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Acute hearing is necessary for telephone and in-person communication with customers and fellow employees, and visual acuity sufficient to read a computer screen and paper documents.

    Working Conditions

    This position typically functions in a lab environment with occasional trips into the warehouse and production areas. There will be exposure to moderate noise levels, fumes, dust, chemicals, heat/cold, and allergens especially in the warehouse and production environments.
