Job Summary:
An Outside Sales Representative sells products and services offered by the company. This employee is a critical part of a vast team of co-workers. Their role is to drive sales and achieve goals by building and developing relationships with both existing and new customers within the specific sales territory. Outside Sales Representative handles all aspects of the sales process from lead generation to sales closing and account management.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads
Communicates with customers to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products and services to meet those needs
Demonstrates the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs
Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale
Fosters communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest
Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems
Provides periodic territory sales forecasts
Execute needs assessments and develop sales proposals and presentations
Plan and manage accounts
Introduce new products and updates by demonstrating and explaining new product features
Develop and build long-term value-based relationships
Focus on prospecting to grow the business
Work closely with the Service Team to provide customers with the full offerings of the company
The position requires driving and some out of town travel (Up to 50%), calling on automotive and industrial professionals
Travel to Trade Shows when requested
Attend vendor training sessions when requested
Perform other duties as assigned

Bi-lingual is a plus but not required
Automotive background/knowledge is preferred but not required
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR
At least three years of related outside sales experience
Other Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
Must have a valid driver’s license, maintain a driving record that meets Devon’s standards and insurance eligibility requirements for excess liability
Must have reliable transportation
