    We are seeking a talented Lead Front-End Engineer with a strong, versatile background in software development, a deep knowledge of analytics and business intelligence platforms which can handle large data sets, a track record of achieving results, and a desire to make an impact within a collaborative agile environment.

    DUTIES: The business intelligence team is looking for a talented and experienced Lead Front-end Engineer who will enjoy challenges and working in a fast-paced, performance-oriented culture. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence many projects that reach across the entire products and services. Our technology stack is primarily JavaScript (ES5, ES6 features); Node.js, AngularJS and React. As the ideal candidate, you will be comfortable with a microservices architecture with expert-level knowledge in all aspects of front-end web development. You will have an eye on design, can communicate well, be a great team player and play an active role in future roadmap of our applications.

    RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Lead Front-end Engineer, your responsibilities will include all phases of user interface development, from architecture and design to implementation.

    • Leads the front-end team and serves as the point of contact with the product team for one or more of our products
    • Leads technical iteration on the design, development, documentation, testing, and deployment of user interface features
    • Actively participating in brainstorms and product planning sessions with multidisciplinary internal teams
    • Designs and develops software product applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software applications for internal use
    • Play an intricate part in building a user-face for a complex business intelligence tool used by a variety of telecommunications industry leaders.
    • Work closely with internal UX and UI Designers to create rapid prototypes and full application development cycles
    • Work with our internal customers and backend developers to ensure the deliverable of products and services to our clients
    • Collaborates with user experience designers, other engineers, and product managers to launch new products, iterate on existing features, and build a world-class user experience
    • Understands and adheres to information security philosophies and practices for the protection of our own and our clients’ proprietary and private data
    • Proactively communicates development dependencies early during the requirements review process or while engaging grooming sessions with the product team
    • Ability to breakdown technical tasks from user stories to build the team’s backlog
    • Adheres and drives the agile scrum process
    • Works under minimal supervision on complex projects and assists less experienced peers

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Advanced knowledge of Javascript, HTML, and CSS, with hands-on knowledge of Node.js, AngularJS and React
    • Expertise with state-of-the-art software architecture paradigms
    • Considerable experience in building complex data visualizations using tools such as HTML Canvas, D3, WebGL
    • Experience with the Google Maps API
    • Knowledge of relational and geospatial database engines, specifically PostgreSQL and PostGIS.
    • Strong ability to communicate clearly across many sides of the business including: strategy, statistics, advanced mathematics, and software engineering

    EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION Application of relevant skills to cooperatively solve complex business problems with multidisciplinary teams

    • Knowledge of full SDLC and best practices for product engineering
    • Degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering or equivalent work experience
    • 7-10 years of experience in full stack web development and codebase management
