  • Responsibilities

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Establishes the release schedule and maintain alignment across with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders
    • Facilitates the creation of the product and release backlogs by overseeing requirements analysis and ensuring each user story in the backlog is well written, sufficiently granular, and buildable
    • Leads and facilitates Program Increment (PI) planning events
    • Assists with program execution and Product feature completion tracking
    • Facilitates Scrum of Scrums
    • Escalates and drives impediment resolution at the Program level
    • Encourages team collaboration
    • Works with Portfolio and Product Management, Product Owners and stakeholders to help assure strategy and execution alignment
    • Helps manage risk and dependencies
    • Develops Release metrics and reports status to Management
    • Provides input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
    • Encourages team and program level Quality Practices and Communities of Practice around SAFe, Scrum, and Agile program management
    • Participates in enterprise program management improvement and standardization activities
    • Assists execution and completion tracking via quantifiable metrics
    • Produce deployment plans and create release reports in JIRA
    • Coordinate and lead the Go-Live activities ·
    • Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered as expected
    • Work with dev ops engineers and or development to understand impacts of branches and code toggling
    • Coordinate release notes and validate release build and toggles

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Experience in Agile and Scrum working with multiple Agile Teams
    • Experience incorporating Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery practices in Agile Teams
    • At least two years of experience gathering and validating user stories
    • Good understanding of modern software development tools and techniques
    • Experience using Agile Tools such as JIRA, Rally, or VersionOne
    • Knowledge of continuous integration, build, and build verification tools and methodologies
    • Experience leading in an agile environment
    • Demonstrated leadership in process improvement and innovation
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
    • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle
    • Knowledge of automated release management principles and toolsets
    • Ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize work assignments, based on changing business needs

    PREFERRED SKILLS:

    • Experience in SAFe and running SAFe PI planning sessions
    • Scrum Master certification
    • SAFe practitioner (SA) certification
    • Experience with Jenkins, Git, and Confluence toolsets
    • PMP certification

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Required Education: Bachelors Required, preferred BS in Computer Science or related field
    • Years of Experience: At least 5 years of experience as Project Manager and/or Scrum Master in software development
