Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our medical imaging team. Part-time and Full-time positions available. The ideal candidate will utilize advanced ultrasound technology to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, providing high-quality images and comprehensive reports to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating patients. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical abilities, compassion for patient care, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations including, but not limited to, abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, and vascular imaging.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-resolution images of internal organs, tissues, and blood flow.
- Analyze and interpret sonographic images, providing preliminary findings to physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures and any relevant patient information.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, and other medical staff, to ensure optimal patient care.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures to protect patients and staff.
- Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and medical imaging practices through continuous education.
- Provide guidance to patients regarding procedures, addressing any concerns and answering questions to alleviate anxiety.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
- Proficient in the use of ultrasound equipment and related technologies.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong commitment to patient care.
