  • Responsibilities

    As assistant to the Logistics Coordinator, the Logistics Intern will plan and execute mail-ins across the country while effectively communicating with appropriate contacts within the Diamond Assets client base. This position will directly report to the Logistics Coordinator. This candidate must be enrolled in related courses for the Spring 2021 semester.

    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Effective communication with Sourcing personnel regarding mail-in requests
    • Effective communication with Customer Base on logistics coordination for all mail-in requests
    • Effective communication with shipping & receiving personnel
    • Supply coordination for all mail-in requests
    • Distribute the information contained in driver binders (i.e.: temp hours to HR, expense reports to accounting, etc.)
    • Generate weekly reports on the estimated number of units being mailed in for the week
    • Provide monthly reports on how many units were mailed in for the month
    • Estimate hours for drivers for the upcoming week
    • Provide days for upcoming week in which drivers will be available for work in production or warehouse to HR/Operations Director/Warehouse Supervisor
    • Organize intradepartmental meetings as necessary
    • Assist in building/updating department training manuals
    • Assist Logistics Coordinator in trip planning- booking flights, hotels, rentals

     KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be organized, logical, and willing to adapt quickly
    • Must have high level of education and experience within fast paced service environment
    • Must have effective problem solving skills
    • Ability to adjust to changes
    • Effective communication and leadership skills
    • Must have social skills for customer service and customer interaction
    • Knowledge of geographies and mapping
    • Reliable transportation required
