    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY: Diamond Brand Gear is seeking a Social Media & Content Manager to work with our key graphic design, public relations, social media, and digital partners to ensure projects get done on time and within budget.  In general, this role is responsible for the organization of a company's promotional and outreach efforts. The role requires great attention to detail, good communication skills and an ability to juggle multiple tasks on sometimes short deadlines.

    The Social Media & Content Manager markets products by developing and implementing marketing and advertising campaigns; tracking engagement and sales data; maintaining promotional materials inventory; planning meetings and trade shows; maintaining customer relationship databases; and preparing reports. The successful candidate for this role will also be responsible for handling correspondence with partners and communicating with other senior staff within the company to keep marketing and advertising campaigns on track.

    Knowledge of social media platforms, online marketing and advertising tools, and campaign development required.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1.     Develop fresh content regarding education on brand, meet the makers, Moonrise project and sustainability mission, employment and other pertinent company information.

    2.    Schedule and organize the creation of website content.

    3.    Build, coordinate, and utilize mailing lists for email campaigns.

    4.    Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing engagement and sales data.

    5.       Liaison and conduct project management of 3rd party marketing teams by keeping things on schedule and getting appropriate materials out on time.

    6.    Create in-house photos and videos to be shared on social and other advertising platforms.

    7.    Track data and analyze success of posts by specific KPIs, i.e. sales conversions, engagement, etc.

    8.    Assists with customer service inquiries to answer product specific questions as well as resolve issues that may arise.

    9.    Providing physical event support in conjunction with the Sales Director.

    10.  Create first draft of e-mails for 3rd party agency to finalize and send out as needed.

    11.    Source and ship swag and other marketing material to events as needed.

    12.  Implement marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling campaign goals and objectives; preparing marketing and advertising plans; planning and organizing promotional presentations; and updating event calendars.

    13.  Keep sales and promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphic artist.

    14.  Regularly update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications; engaging key digital information sources.

    15.  Monitor marketing industry news and submit update on emerging trends to senior staff

    each quarter.

    KNOWLEDGE AND CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE

    1.        Knowledge of marketing techniques to coordinate media placement, segment and target markets, schedule social media activity, track statistics from various advertising campaigns and venues, and monitor web traffic metrics.

    2.       Strong written and verbal communication skills

    3.       Good interpersonal skills

    4.      Project management and time management skills

    5.       Must be able to work independently

    EXPERIENCE

    1.      3+ Years of Experience in Communications and/or Marketing Role.

    2.      Previous marketing experience in the outdoor industry preferred.

    3.       BA in Communications, Journalism, Creative Writing, or Marketing, or MBA preferred.
