    Job Description

    The ​Marketing Operations Intern​ assists the Marketing team in the successful execution of marketing and logistics projects and tasks supporting customers and the broader Diamond Kinetics team to achieve the organization’s business and brand goals.

    Success in this role is defined by excellent cross-functional collaboration, proactive communication, strong project management skills and an innate ‘get it done’ orientation. Although initially a 3-month role, this has the opportunity to be extended into a longer-term internship. 

    • MUST BE CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN A FOUR-YEAR UNIVERSITY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR MARKETING OPERATIONS INTERN POSITION

    PRODUCT TESTING AND OPTIMIZATION

    • Work with Customer Experience and Engineering teams to ​establish quality standards, systems and procedures
    • Ensure that finished goods meet established performance standards
    • Collaborate with the Customer Experience team, execute internal app testing to identify bugs and product improvement opportunities
    • Record, analyze and distribute statistical performance information
    • Assist team in assembling component materials into peripheral accessory finished goods
    • Identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures

    SUPPORT CUSTOMERS AND PARTNERS

    • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization in supporting a wide range of customer and partner needs
    • Assist with order fulfillment and inventory management to ensure maximum customer/partner delight
    • Manage the product returns and replacement process, while providing ongoing reporting

    MARKETING EXECUTION

    • Provide assistance in analyzing the marketplace, customers and competitors to identify optimal points of differentiation and value creation
    • Assist in updating and maintaining the organization’s digital presence, through copy, graphics and video
    • Collaborate with team members to develop and manage marketing assets to support customers and partners
    • Occasionally assist teammates in the field in executing marketing events

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sports Marketing, or equivalent field of study
    • Experience serving/supporting customers and responsibility for satisfaction
    • Personal interest in the sports technology industry

    ADDITIONAL DESIRED EXPERIENCE

    • Photography and videography experience
    • Experience in working in a small, consumer-oriented business
    • Played competitive level amateur baseball or softball

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Expected workload of 20-25 hours/week at the DK office
    • Candidate will need access to transportation to/from the DK office
    • Requires occasional physical exertion by swinging bats and throwing baseballs/softballs
    • Frequent operation of computers and mobile devices
    • Requires dexterity with various tools and assembling small components with a high level of precision
    • Requires usage of own laptop and cell phone
    • Light to moderate lifting is required including traversing steps and ladders
    • Overnight travel is not required for this position
