Responsibilities: • Advise the client on tax planning steps they can take to ensure they fulfill all tax obligations and continue to pay the minimum amount of taxes in the future • Utilize the appropriate credits and deductions the client is eligible for • Check each tax form for accuracy and tax compliance • Use the utmost care when handling documents that contain private client information • Submit tax returns on behalf of the client and communicate with tax authorities • Represent and negotiate tax debt settlements with the IRS/State on behalf of their clients Qualifications: • Registered with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and has a valid Prepare Tax Identification Number (PTIN) • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required • Experience using standard tax software to file returns • 5+ years of work experience in tax consulting at an accounting firm or consulting firm • Understands state and federal tax laws and can quickly interpret sections of the tax code for basic and atypical tax forms • Enrolled Agent, Attorney, CPA • At least 6 months of tax resolution experience • Self-starter for problem-solving • Excellent customer service skills • Effective telephone communication • Must possess effective communication and time management skills • This is a hybrid position on a day-to-day basis with monthly face-to-face team meetups Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 to start yearly
