Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Die Cutter Operator to support folding carton production by operating die cutting equipment with blanking capability. This role is responsible for maintaining efficient machine performance, producing high-quality products, and ensuring all safety and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate brings strong technical experience, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot die cutting machines to meet production schedules and quality requirements
- Perform make-ready adjustments including dies, registration, stripping, and pressure settings
- Monitor machine performance, maintain production speed, and address issues such as jams or material inconsistencies
- Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy, proper cutting, and compliance with specifications
- Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and on time
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and keep equipment and work areas clean and organized
- Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory standards including ISO, cGMP, and HACCP guidelines
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and communicate concerns to leadership
- Assist with training new operators and supporting team members as needed
- Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth workflow
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years offline die cutting experience (folding cartons required)
- Hands-on experience with die cutters equipped with blanking capability
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to adjust machines for optimal performance
- Ability to lift 60+ lbs and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Basic math and computer skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to rotate shifts and work overtime as business needs require
