    Die Maintenance Helper (Welding Required)

    Location: Reno, NV
    Schedule: Monday–Friday
    Pay: $20/hour
    Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a Die Maintenance Helper with welding experience to support operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role where you’ll assist with tooling, equipment maintenance, and basic fabrication while building strong foundational skills in industrial maintenance and production.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist with loading and unloading dies from heating furnaces
    • Support tooling setups and maintenance activities
    • Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks as needed
    • Operate equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and manipulators (with training)
    • Use hand and power tools including grinders, impact wrenches, and cutting tools
    • Clean, maintain, and protect dies to prevent damage or corrosion
    • Assist with minor repairs including air and gas hose maintenance
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
    • Follow all safety procedures and work instructions
    • Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production goals

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Welding experience required (MIG/TIG/Stick – basic to intermediate)
    • Experience in manufacturing, metals, or industrial environments preferred
    • Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
    • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

    Preferred Skills

    • Basic understanding of blueprints and measurements
    • Experience with metal fabrication or mechanical systems
    • Forklift or crane experience is a plus
    • Basic computer skills

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
    • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
    • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with heat, noise, and heavy equipment
    • Ability to wear required PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, welding gear, etc.)

    Work Environment

    • Industrial/manufacturing setting
    • Exposure to machinery, welding equipment, and varying temperatures
