    Production Die Setter 2 nd Shift

    To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

    · Sets up dies, fixtures, or assemblies in accordance with MIOSHA standards and company procedures.

    · Troubleshoots equipment failures and problems with appropriate personnel.

    · Sets press to optimum speed and feed of machine according to type of operation, specified material, and finish to improve and maintain machine efficiency.

    · Starts machine to obtain first run work piece and verifies dimensional tolerances.

    · Performs routine and preventative maintenance and setup including, but not limited to, die setting/fastening, machine lubrication, tools utilized include handheld pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, die bars, etc.

    · Recommends adjustments to processes and equipment to produce a product that meets company standards and customer requirements.

    · Reports equipment failures and unusual sounds or actions while operating equipment. Fills out necessary work orders and/or PCA’s (Process Change Authorizations) when needed.

    · Monitors press for proper operation and reports any malfunctions or problems to supervisor and maintenance.

    · Coordinate and pre-stage all necessary items for die change.

    · Set up and program new jobs on the initial run. Fill out the proper paperwork and hand it in to the Supervisor.

    · Assists engineering personnel in testing and evaluating new dies.

    · Evaluates data and conducts experiments to develop the application of new equipment or improved techniques, procedures, or practices.

    · Instructs operators or other workers in machine setup and operation.

    · Assists in the coordination of prioritization of activities of production personnel to meet customer, plant, and management requirements.

    · Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).

    This full-time, hourly role is a part of our Belleville Plant 2 team and reports to the Production Supervisor.


    Required experience:

    · 1+ year related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.

    · Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

    · Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures in a professional and consistent manner. Able to apply common sense understanding and use appropriate judgment in routine business situations with supervisor, co-workers, and customers.
