Job Summary
We are looking for a Diesel Automotive Technician to join our successful automotive service center. MUST be familiar with light duty diesel trucks such as Duramax, Cummins, & Ford Powerstroke.
As a Diesel Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles. You must be comfortable using the shop computer software and have extensive knowledge of diesel vehicle systems.
If you have a positive proactive attitude and are willing to problem-solve until you find the best solution for the customer, we want to hear from you. We are a family-owned shop with a long history in the Acworth area keeping us very busy.
Responsibilities
Use your expertise and diagnostic tools to evaluate vehicle codes, repairing and maintaining diesel systems and engines
Assist with establishing service center procedures for tracking repair status, maintaining technical documentation
Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks
Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business
Convey necessary vehicle repair information with accurate record keeping to Service Advisors
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED is required
An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred
ASE certification is preferred, but we can help you get your certification
Strong diagnostic skills
Professionalism and can work well with others
Strong customer service and communications skills are required
Prefer at least 3 years experience
