    As a family-first, regionally respected construction and paving company, is seeking a Truck and Equipment Mechanic to join their maintenance team based in Richmond, Maine. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in keeping equipment running safely and reliably, with variety in day-to-day tasks and opportunities to travel regionally with a close-knit crew.

    What You'll Do as the Truck and Equipment Mechanic:

    • Diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment to keep job sites moving
    • Perform MIG and stick welding, fabrication, and part replacements as needed
    • Conduct safety inspections and report any hazards or damage
    • Operate equipment and tools in compliance with safety protocols and PPE requirements
    • Travel occasionally for regional field work, including some overnight stays
    • Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed
    • Handle physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds and working outdoors in all weather

    Must-Haves as the Truck and Equipment Mechanic:

    • 3 to 5 years of relevant mechanical experience
    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, diagnostics, and repair
    • Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques
    • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
    • Ability to supply your own tools
    • Willingness to work in physically demanding conditions and pass drug/physical screening

    Nice-to-Haves as the Truck and Equipment Mechanic:

    • Maine State Inspection License
    • CDL or ability to operate various heavy vehicles
    • Familiarity with reading and interpreting MSDS sheets
