Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy diesel equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and loaders.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate.
- Replace or repair defective parts, such as engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, particularly with heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding of diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
