    Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, as well as experience with heavy equipment and industrial machinery. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and collaboratively to ensure optimal performance of our fleet.

    Responsibilities

    Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

    Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.

    Utilize schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and components effectively.

    Weld and assemble parts as needed to ensure proper functionality of equipment.

    Operate cranes and other heavy equipment safely during repairs and maintenance tasks.

    Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.

    Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services performed, and parts used.

    Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.

    Requirements

    Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in a dealership or industrial setting.

    Strong knowledge of diesel engine components, HVAC systems, and heavy equipment operation.

    Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics and service manuals.

    Proficiency in welding techniques and assembling mechanical parts.

    Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

    Strong communication skills for effective customer service interactions.

    Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

    Valid driver's license is preferred; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are a plus.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED is required

    An associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred

    Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred

    At least 1 year of experience
