    LOCATION: Haskell, TX

    CONTEXT: Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Diesel Mechanic to join our team for light-duty mechanical work and PM-style maintenance. This role focuses on the essential upkeep and diagnostic health of our fleet to ensure maximum uptime and safety. We are specifically looking for a local candidate with strong troubleshooting skills to support our regional operations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Execute high-quality PM-style maintenance, including oil and filter changes, lubrication, and comprehensive multi-point safety inspections.
    • Utilize scan tools to read fault codes and perform deep-dive troubleshooting for engine, transmission, and aftertreatment malfunctions.
    • Diagnose and repair complex electrical issues involving wiring harnesses, sensors, and starting/charging systems.
    • Perform routine mechanical repairs on brake systems, cooling systems, and auxiliary components.
    • Maintain accurate digital or paper logs of all services performed, parts utilized, and fault code resolutions.
    • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure all hazardous materials are handled according to environmental regulations.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Proven experience with advanced diagnostics, including the proficient use of scan tools and code interpretation.
    • Strong ability to troubleshoot 12V/24V electrical systems and interpret wiring schematics.
    • Solid experience in light-duty mechanical repair and scheduled preventative maintenance.
    • While ASE or ASE Diesel certifications are preferred, candidates holding OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Safety certifications will be given top consideration.
    • Must be a local candidate capable of consistent reporting to our facility.
    • A "safety-first" mindset with a track record of precision and attention to detail in a shop environment.
    • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods while servicing equipment.
    • Manual dexterity for handling precision electrical components and heavy mechanical parts.
    • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs as required by standard maintenance tasks.
