Diesel Mechanic

• Must have working knowledge of standard shipyard equipment, such as large crawler cranes and boats.
• Applicant must be willing to be on call after normal business hours in case of need of immediate repairs.
• Applicant must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening and physical prior to hiring.

A Shipyard Diesel Mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance and inspections on machinery / diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in diesel engines / and overhauling major engine components. Must be able to work with little guidance from a Supervisor.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Diesel engine repair: 1 year (Preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (Preferred)
