Position Details

Role: Diesel Mechanic

Pay Rate

• $23–$25 per hour

Job Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work on commercial diesel trucks
• Diagnose mechanical issues and complete required repairs
• Work specifically with Freightliner and International trucks
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
• Maintain a safe and organized work area
• Follow established maintenance and workplace-safety procedures
• Properly use tools and required personal protective equipment

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience
• Informal or hands-on mechanical experience may be considered and evaluated during the interview
• Experience working with Freightliner trucks required
• Experience working with International trucks required
• Spanish-speaking candidates are accepted; English is not required for this position
• Ability to diagnose and repair commercial diesel vehicles
• Ability to perform physically demanding mechanical work
• Closed-toe shoes required
• Long hair must be secured while working around equipment

Safety & PPE

• Safety glasses provided as required
• Gloves provided as required
• Protective masks provided when necessary
• No specific uniform required
• Long sleeves or a mechanic jumpsuit are commonly recommended for the work environment

Pre-Employment Requirements

• DOT 10-panel drug screening required before starting
