Distribution Inc is a family-owned business that appreciates our employees and respect their contributions to our ongoing success. We have a single bay shop and are looking for a talented, hard-working individual to join our team. We're seeking to hire a Truck and Trailer Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs for our fleet. This position maintains and repairs air brake systems, electrical systems, drive train issues as well as dry van trailer repairs. Some tire work is performed.
While we prefer someone who has a certificate or technical training, we are willing to work with any mechanical professional.
REQUIIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS:
· Mechanical related experience in heavy equipment or automotive
· Completion of a certificate program or technical training in mechanics and truck repair (preferred)
· Knowledge to diagnose; air brakes, drivetrain, and electrical systems
· Trailer repair to include wheel/brake systems, floors and structure, roof bows/roof, doors, electrical. A lot of time working on trailers.
· Must have your own tools
· Ability to read, speak and understand the English language on a basic level
· The working environment includes working in the shop as well as outside repairs in all weather conditions depending on the situation
· Safety shoes required
· Valid driver's license
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel trucks and trailers, focusing on mechanical systems, air brakes, and electrical components
Utilize hand tools and welding equipment for fabrication and maintenance tasks
Conduct routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure safety and performance
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed, while adhering to safety protocols
Wages: $27 – 30 per hour Full Time paid bi-weekly (a full performance review will be done at 90 days for performance and compensation)
