    GCHS is seeking a compassionate and dependable Dietary Aide to join our healthcare team. The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the nutritional needs of residents and patients by assisting with meal preparation, tray service, dining room operations, and maintaining a clean and sanitary food service environment. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent customer service and high-quality care.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.

    Reads production orders on menus to determine items to place on trays.

    Is able to count change back to customers and properly run the cash register.

    Ensures trays contain all necessary items such as utensils, condiments, napkins, drink, etc.

    Is knowledgeable about special diet restrictions and patient/resident needs to ensure trays are appropriately stocked.

    Prepares mechanical altered diets in the blender, ensuring the consistency is appropriate and safe for consumption.

    Maintains all infection control procedures ensuring all dietary processes are compliant with infection control regulations.

    Makes certain all duties are completed and kitchen is clean before leaving shift.

    Properly operates machinery and communicates with co-workers, manager and maintenance when equipment is not working properly.

    Apportions and places food servings on plates and trays according to diet list on menus and proper serving portions.
