A well-established skilled nursing facility in Evansville, IN is seeking a Dietary Manager or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to oversee and lead daily dietary operations. This individual will play a key role in ensuring residents receive high-quality, nutritious meals while maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Position Summary: The Dietary Manager or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) is responsible for managing all aspects of the dietary department, including menu planning, staff supervision, food safety, and regulatory compliance. This leader will work closely with clinical and administrative teams to support resident health, satisfaction, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the dietary department within the facility

Ensure meals are prepared and served in accordance with physician orders and dietary guidelines

Develop and maintain menus that meet nutritional requirements and resident preferences

Supervise, train, and schedule dietary staff

Maintain compliance with state, federal, and local regulations (including sanitation and food safety standards)

Manage inventory, food ordering, and cost control measures

Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to support resident care plans

Ensure a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment

Qualifications:

Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification preferred - must be willing to gain CDM cert

Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred

Strong knowledge of dietary regulations and food safety standards

Proven leadership and team management skills

Excellent organizational and communication abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
