Fashion & Lifestyle Publicist

We are an established Fashion & Lifestyle PR, Branding and Communications firm with close to 20 years in the industry. We are seeking a creative, and highly self motivated Publicist, with a minimum of one + year agency experience. This person must come with contacts, and experience, along with proof of their work. The candidate  must have comprehensive understanding of the work at hand that a publicist does in this arena.  They will need to have an extensive knowledge of Social Media influencer, and celebrity in fashion, wellness, fitness and  lifestyle and have up to date media, celebrity &  social media contacts is a must. The candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties and be capable of working will with others and show leadership and kindness equally. Most important we are looking for an employee who cares about our business, looking to grow, must be  trustworthy, honest, strategic, willing to adapt to agency and client needs, and of course possess a deep love for PR. The person we choose must possess a strong work ethic, commitment to the job, have Adobe photoshop, Indesign, canva experience a a witty sense of humor.

This role is extremely varied and requires someone with the experience and know-how to manage their time accordingly. We are looking for an individual who can immediately take charge and oversee the day-to-day operations, and has a desire to grow with and help expand the agency. This person will work side by side with the owner to set forth common goals of growth in a wide range of arenas to further what we do beyond the norm of what a typical Fashion and lifestyle agency do.  We love out-of-the box thinkers.

We are looking to fill this position immediately and will give priority to those that are ready to start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Must be able to start immediately, and live in Los Angeles

• 1-2+ years of Fashion, Lifestyle PR experience.

• Must have established relationships with Media, Instagram influencers, celebrities and stylists. Strong contacts with contacts based in Los Angeles & NY is a plus.

• Must have knowledge and established relationships with long lead and digital media editors in fashion & lifestyle. 

• Constantly on the pulse of the fashion & lifestyle industry, recognizing new media outlets, contacts, influencers and other press opportunities.

• Able to pitch creative and on-trend stories, with exceptional writing, proofreading skills, and graphic design skills. 

• Able to manage multiple accounts and effectively communicate with our team and clients with creative ideas and solution-based strategies.

• Collaborate with clients to implement campaign strategies centered around seasonal and product launches, brand/designer features and influencer seeding.

• Experience creating press releases, brand bios, media kits and other tools.

• Maintains in-house monthly reports and tracks client press coverage.

• Must know Luanchmetrics (Fashion GPS)

• Must know Meltwater & Cision 

• Knowledge of social media trends to oversee and manage client and company accounts.

• Help schedule and facilitate showroom loans visits.

• Ensure that the showroom and gifting inventory is properly managed through internal lists  and Fashion GPS.

• Extremely organized and manages time effectively.

• Proficient in Mac OS, Photoshop, Indesign, Microsoft Office, Dropbox & Google Drive.

• Portfolio showcasing recent press coverage on fashion and lifestyle websites and social media influencer mentions/posts.

• Great sense of humor and diligence and heart.
