Job Description
Dietz, Gilmor & Chazen, an established California workers’ compensation defense law firm, is seeking a File Clerk to assist the electronic processing of incoming documents for attorneys and paralegals in our San Diego Office.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Picks up, processes, and scans incoming mail.
• Operates mail machines including the postage meter and photocopying machine.
• Processes and weighs outgoing mail.
• Maintains records of receipt, mailing dates, and other required information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Good communication skills.
• Basic understanding of operating instructions and processes for machines.
• Basic understanding of postage rates and regulations.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to complete projects in a timely manner.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a related area preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to lift to 20 pounds at times.
