Job Description
NBC4 and Telemundo 52 have an opening for a digital content producer to join our innovative multiplatform news team. We are looking for a self-starter who can get work done without extensive direction. Experience with Search Engine Optimization, social media video management, content management systems, covering both breaking news and feature stories. Using social media as both a reporting and engagement tool are important.
Report and write original stories daily for our stations’ digital platforms, primarily nbclosangeles.com.
Identify, report, write and edit high-value stories, ensuring the voice, tone and mix of content fits with the overall editorial strategy.
Collaborate with TV reporters and producers; repurpose, enrich and publish broadcast video and scripts for digital formats.
Curate content across all our digital properties and perform regular quality assurance checkups.
Help manage and grow our video-based social media platforms YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
Use data analytics to help guide content strategy in real-time and in planning stages.
Help plan digital coverage of news events and station tentpoles.
Work across departments, including marketing and community, to execute station initiatives.
Other tasks as assigned.
The shift for this role will be nights and weekends.

Required On-Site : This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000
